What does your class cost?

The 16 hour initial permit course fee is $439.

The 8 hour renewal course fee $229.

We do not charge an additional fee to qualify you on your 2nd and 3rd handgun. The course fee is all inclusive, and there are no additional costs. We will even buy you pizza on Saturday. 

 

Where is the classroom?

In the Studio City area (91604). Precise details will be provided the day before class. 

 

Where do you do the live fire qualification?

We use ranges in the San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles.

 

What agencies have approved you as a training provider?

Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Beverly Hills PD, Santa Monica PD, Torrance PD, and Gardena PD, as of October 2025. 

 

How is your class structured?

Two full back-to-back weekend days (Saturday & Sunday) beginning at 10:00 AM, plus a separate appointment to do your shooting qualification. 

 

How do 8 hour renewal classes work? 

The renewal curriculum is taught on Saturdays.  Contact us if Saturday doesn’t work and we’ll see how we might accommodate you. 

 

Can you make scheduling accommodations for people who cannot do class back-to-back on Saturday & Sunday?

Potentially. If our schedules permit, we can arrange to complete some amount of class time on a weekday. Contact us to discuss.

 

Do you offer private 1-on-1 CCW training?

We do, but it costs much more. Contact us to discuss pricing and availability. 

 

Do you offer firearms training?

Yes. We can do private lessons and will offer group classes in the future.

 

Do you offer courses for out of state CCWs like Arizona and Utah?

Not at the moment, but we will offer UT and AZ classes soon.

 

Which is better: the Utah or Arizona CCW?

They are both roughly the same in terms of state reciprocity (37-38). However, Arizona requires 8 hours of instruction and a live fire qualification, whereas Utah requires only 4 hours of instruction and no live fire.

 

Do you recommend CCW insurance?

Yes. We think it’s a good idea in principle, but we have no affiliation with and do not recommend any specific insurer.

 

What is your refund policy?

You can cancel at any time before class begins and receive a 95% refund or reschedule for a another class date.
