Asset: a useful or valuable thing, person or quality. Liability: a person or thing whose presence or behavior is likely to cause embarrassment or put one at a disadvantage. 

 

At Asset Training Group, we firmly believe that unless you take concealed carry very seriously, you are more likely to be a liability with your gun than an asset. We want you to be an asset, and we want to help you become one. 

 

Civilian concealed carry is fundamentally different than all other contexts in which people carry firearms in public for self-defense. We teach CCW curriculum as civilians for civilians, with an emphasis on what we think are the key issues and skills that are necessary for success in this unique context. 

 

The foundation is the right mentality and attitude. A CCW permit is not a license to take less flak. It's an obligation to take more. That's because the variable of the firearm drastically changes the stakes of antagonistic encounters. 

 

Success also demands that you develop a sharp understanding of the rules and doctrines regarding use of lethal force in self-defense, that you optimize your equipment for maximum practicality and effectiveness, and that you grasp the nuanced and complex rules that govern where public carry with a CCW is ok and where it is not. We will help you achieve all these things, and much more.

 

We also believe that CCW rights are CCW responsibilities. And we promise that our course will help you begin (or continue) your CCW journey with the knowledge and confidence to responsibly exercise your Second Amendment right to concealed carry.
