Hybrid 16 Hour Class: 1 Day Private & 1 Day Classroom

California law requires 16 hours of instruction for an initial CCW, which includes live fire qualification on all handguns the applicant wants on their permit (LAPD allows 3). This course is fully Senate Bill 2 compliant and is essentially the final hurdle to getting your CCW.

The Hybrid Class divides instruction as follows: You attend one full day classroom session of your choice (either Day 1 or Day 2) to complete 8 hours of instruction. The remaining 8 hours is completed with a 2 hour live fire appointment and 6 hours of one-one-one classroom instruction. The remaining six hours can be done flexibly. After booking, email or call us to select what days you would like to attend and what flexibility you need. 

Classroom: The classroom facility is located in Studio City 91604. We will email you the classroom address and all other important details after booking. Class begins at 10:00 AM on a Saturday or Sunday. We will likely have weekday sessions available as well. 

Live Fire Requirement: The live fire qualification will be completed at a private outdoor range facility in the San Fernando Valley or at a private range facility in the West Los Angeles area. We will coordinate scheduling the live fire qualification with you after booking. As soon as you enroll in class online, email us to schedule your qualification asap. We are very flexible and will do our best to work around your schedule. The course fee includes qualification for all handguns you want to put on your permit. We do not charge an additional fee for your second and third handgun.
