Utah CFP Class - By Appointment

This 4-hour course will satisfy the Utah BCI’s (Bureau of Criminal Identification) requirements for getting a non-resident CFP (concealed firearms permit). There is no live-fire requirement, classroom only. 

We will also do your ink fingerprinting card for free, saving you about $30 dollars. In addition to the course fee, the only other costs you will incur are the application fee ($87), passport photo (roughly $10), the cost of getting a a color copy of your driver’s license, and mailing fee.

A non-resident Utah CFP is recognized via reciprocity in 30 states. The states that recognize the Utah non-resident CFP are:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, & Wyoming.

The states that do not recognize a Utah non-resident CFP (but do recognize a Utah resident CFP) are Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire, and Florida.

We will fill out your application in class so there will be no risk of omissions or confusion about the remaining requirements. The Utah CFP lasts or 5 years and can be renewed online. 

Per Utah BCI, any person who takes a multi-hour CCW course that already covers most of the material that Utah requires does not need to take the full 4 hour course they would otherwise need to take. Thus, we offer all 16-hour and 8-hour CCW class attendees the opportunity to do their Utah CFP at the conclusion of their CA CCW class, for a discounted rate and without having to go over material already covered in the CA class.
